The Archives of the Province of St. Louise will be displaying some of the artistic treasures of its collections, beginning next week! The Daughters of Charity are famous for their work in healthcare and education, yet the sisters of the community also harbor some artistic talent as well. Our new art gallery is open to Daughters and Associates during business hours and to the public on Wednesday afternoons and by special booking.

Current exhibit of the Provincial Archives: Explore this history of the five former provinces, as well as both their shared and unique histories. Among the treasures on display are the hand-written American rule of St. Vincent, President Dwight Eisenhower’s self-portrait, and the correspondence setting up the five provinces. The exhibit and heritage rooms are open to the public from 1-4 on Wednesday afternoon, during business hours to sisters, and at special request for tours.

The Provincial Archives maintains the Heritage Room to showcase the past and current missions of the Daughters throughout the Province. Along with our exhibition space and future art gallery, these rooms seek to show the treasures, works, and charism contained in the Daughters of Charity archive.
