Doors to Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill Heritage Room

Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, Heritage Room

Would you like to take a walk through history? Open the doors of the Heritage Room. There along with the Christmas decorations and lights you will find a legacy of poetry from a number of our deceased sisters. In addition, there is a small children’s story book written by Sister Evarista Donovan and reprinted and illustrated through the effort of a donor, Mary Jan Becker. Sister Fides Glass’ Christmas story was donated to the archives by Sister Antonine Forbeck. The mantle is decorated with a crèche given to the Sisters of Charity at DePaul by from our friend and benefactor, the late Reverend Richard Conboy.

The lovely plates are the gift of Monsignor Edward McCullough, former pastor of Saint Aloysius Parish in Dunbar, PA. and good friend and donor to the Sisters of Charity. Thers limited edition works are from the Studio Dante DiVolteradici in Toscana, Italy and are various representations of the Madonna and Child or scenes from the Christmas story.

It is time for those of us in the Archives to wish you a very blessed Christmas. May the love and peace of this beautiful season fill your hearts.
